When the circuit board is jointed and connected,if the width of the connecting bridge is not enough, which may cause deformation of the circuit board. If the width and rigidity of the connecting bridge are insufficiently designed, will aggravate the PCB board deformation.
Experiments in the circuit board manufacturing factory have proved that the rigidity and width of the connecting bridge have important significance for improving the deformation of the circuit board and the circuit board panel. For the PCB board panel with the thickness ≤ 1mm, the width of the connecting bridge should be ≥ 5mm, preferably 7mm. The layout of the connecting bridge is all copper to increase rigidity. Our company has the following suggestions for the design of the PCB panel:
(1) The rigidity of the connecting bridge have important significance for reducing the deformation of the ultra-thin circuit board. Therefore, it is recommended that the width of the connecting bridge be 7mm and the full-layer layout copper (0.5mm narrow than the groove width) as shown below:
(2) The width of the craft side must be ≥10mm and the whole layer layout copper.
(3) The panel excluded no more than 2 rows.
(4) If the sub-boards cannot be directly connected by the connecting bridge, it is necessary to use the transition connecting strip/quick connection. It is recommended to increase the overall rigidity and widen the width of the connecting strip to more than 5 mm for the thimble to support.
